Coronary Microvascular Smooth Muscle-Endothelial Cell Communication and Notch 3 Signaling in Type 2 Diabetes

In our lab we focus how diabetes impacts the coronary vasculature. In particular we study the processes involved in adverse micro- and macro-vascular remodeling in disease, including early type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Currently we are focused on the endothelial cell- vascular smooth muscle cell interactions and how the disease states alters these interactions.
